Why I am fundraising for The Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Club of Grimsby is contributing to this year's World Polio Day(October 24,2020) by joining other Rotary Clubs in District 7090 in a "Pedal for Polio" bicycle event planned from the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls to Fort George in Niagara on the Lake(22 km). The local event is being held in honour of Dr. Ron Mergyl, a prominent Rotarian and avid "Eradicate Polio" supporter who recently passed away.
Due to Covid 19 group size restrictions by the Niagara Parks Commission, the Grimsby Rotary bikers will hold their event on local roads.
Please join Rotary International(RI) in continuing its worldwide fight against Polio(99.9% eradication in 30 years)by sponsoring members of the Rotary Club of Grimsby Pedal for Polio Bicycle Team. All contributions are in $US. Click on the "Donate Now" and all funds will be forwarded to the RI Polio fund. For all donations over $10, Canadian tax receipts will be issued by RI.
