FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is the Rotary Ride to End Polio?
The Indoor Ride is a ready-made polio fundraising event open to anyone, anywhere in the world. The Rotary Ride allows riders to participate by riding stationary bikes at home or in a gym, collecting donations for each minute, or each mile, of the ride.

The in-person Rotary Ride takes place at the newly remodeled Milwaukee Athletic Club, 758 N Broadway in Milwaukee. Registrants receive lockerroom priveleges (locker, towels, shower, etc.) as well as a tour of Milwaukee’s premiere athletic and meeting facility. You may also ride at home and join the in-person ride via Zoom.

6. How does this event raise money to support the eradication of polio?
Each rider solicits donations to End Polio in support of their ride ($10, $25, $100, etc.). All funds raised go to the Rotary Foundation End Polio Fund and are matched 2 to 1 by the Gates Foundation. Since 2009, $61 million has been raised through various Rotary Rides to End Polio around the world.
7. How are contributions made?
We recommend that all donors go to the Raise for Rotary Event page at https://bit.ly/3wx6LT2 to make their secure online donation. Individuals or clubs can also create their own “page” to promote and receive donations that automatically get received by the Rotary Foundation End Polio Fund to automatically receive the 2 to 1 match. If a Rotarian uses their email connected to their Rotary membership, it automatically records as their gift to the End Polio Fund.
8. How do I register and/or reserve bike to use at Milwaukee Athletic Club?
The indoor ride occurs from 9am to 5pm, but riders can choose to ride a certain number of minutes or miles consistent with their level of fitness either at the Milwaukee Athletic Club or at home. Register and / or reserve a time for bike at MAC https://bit.ly/4bTiPye
9. Must the indoor ride be completed at the designated time?
This is encouraged, but not required. Nor is it necessary for all riders in a club to ride together, though that is also encouraged, mostly for the fun of it.
