Update #2

The polio program has typically engaged women as frontline health workers because, in some cultures, mothers are more likely to open the door to a female vaccinator.

“In solidarity with women who are serving on the front lines of our polio eradication efforts, we commit today (IWD) to raising critical funds to complete our task,” says President Elect, Jennifer Jones. She adds, “we salute these heroic women and commit to ensuring their efforts are not in vain, and that every child is protected.”
