There is a great need for training programs for adults and young leaders to address the underlying causes of conflict, such as poverty, inequality and illiteracy in this world.


On a personal level, what comes to mind is a Yemeni friend, a refugee living in Egypt through the assistance of the UN. This is a story of inequality and conflict. But it is a known fact that conflicts are overwhelming, and assistance is limited. And no doubt that countries such as Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Palestine, and Ukraine come to mind as well.

But, in a broad sense, there is certainly much that Rotary International is able to help with. This is a fund that will help to support those in need in a great way! Individual and cultural conflicts are harsh realities, but step by step we can bring about hope.

The more support there is for families globally, the more there will be a better paved road to peace.
