Rotarians' motto is "Service Above Self." Giving back is giving justice to the life we lead. The Ride to End Polio is simply a way of combining things I love - bicycling - with the ability to make a positive difference in the life of someone I may never meet.
In 1979, Rotarians took up the challenge of eradicating polio, which still affects millions around the world. Since then, they have vaccinated more than 2.5 billion children. And Rotarians made the promise that they won't stop working to end polio until the disease is eradicated.
