There were only 13 cases across the globe in 2023, down from the over 365,000 cases in 1984. We are so close to eradicating polio, but there is still work to do. If polio exists anywhere, it threatens children everywhere. Help us reach our collective goal of $10k!

Why we are fundraising for The Rotary Foundation

Pull for Polio is a powerlifting style deadlifting event, run by the STamp Out Polio (STOP) Rotary Club (a satellite of the Dundas Valley Sunrise Rotary Club).

Participants of all lifting experience are encouraged to contribute to our collective goal of raising $10,000.00 CAD for the Rotary Foundation's End Polio Now campaign.

We are so close to eradicating polio from the face of the earth, but we aren't yet done.

This is the reason our satellite club was chartered in 2023: With only 13 cases across the globe in 2023, down from the over 365,000 cases in 1984, we have the opportunity to End Polio Now.

Remember, if polio exists somewhere, it threatens children everywhere.

Join us on Canada Day, July 1st in the Dundas Driving Park (Dundas, Ontario) to do some deadlifts, raise some funds and have some fun!
