Since 1985, Rotarians around the world have worked to eradicate polio! Thanks to the effectiveness of polio vaccines and the combined efforts of Rotary, the WHO, CDC, UNICEF, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and GAVI, wild polio has been almost eradicated. Worldwide cases have declined from 350,000 cases per year in 125 countries to only 28 cases in 2 countries, Pakistan and Afghanistan this year, a decrease of 99.99%! As Rotarians we are committed to finishing the fight against polio!
On October 26, our team will "Pedal for Polio" in Grapevine Texas. Our goals it to raise $10,000 for this important cause!
