The Rotary Foundation has declared a Disater of Magnitude and created the Hurricane Melissa Response Fund, which will support disaster response grants in communities affected by this destructive storm. Hurricane Melissa made landfall in the Caribbean as one of the strongest hurricanes on record, leaving communities facing loss, displacement, and widespread devastation. Many communities have no electricity or access to clean water.
Contributions to the fund will support disaster response grants that will supply critical items such as water, food, medicine, clothing, and shelter. The fund will accept donations through 31 January 2026 and grants will be available until 28 October 2026, or until all funds are spent.
Together, we can offer our support to these communities.
