The Rotary Foundation has established a temporary Cyclone Ditwah Response Fund to aid Rotary districts in communities in Sri Lanka. The heavy rains, flooding, and strong winds have killed hundreds of people and left many without safe places to stay, clean water, or electricity as communities attempt to recover. The Cyclone Ditwah Response Fund will support disaster response grants for member-led projects that provide emergency relief, including water, food, medicine, shelter, and clothing.
The fund will accept donations through 31 March 2026. Districts affected by the cyclone can apply for grants until 3 December 2026 or until all funds are spent. If the needs diminish, or if we raise more funds than necessary, donations will be used to respond to disasters where our efforts are needed most.
Together, we can make a lasting difference for people affected by disasters and continue Doing Good in the World.
