Here's another great thing to celebrate with a gift to the End Polio Now campaign -
All of Africa is now officially free of the wild polio virus!
The announcement was made on August 25th.
Now, just Pakistan and Afghanistan remain as the only countries in the world where wild polio still threatens.

Members of the Rotary Club of Woodridge, Illinois, had set a goal of donating $1,500 to the PolioPlus program this year. Woodridge Rotarians decided to take full advantage of the matching we are offering this month, and have donated the full $1,500!
This means that their $1,500 will be doubled by our generous local donors to make it $3,000 in this campaign, and the $3,000 will be matched 2 to 1 by the Gates Foundation, so a total of $9,000 is on its way to helping to End Polio!
In addition, Woodridge Rotarians will receive 4,500 matching Paul Harris points to help them on their way to further recognition as Paul Harris Fellows.

October 2, 2020 - RI President Holger Knaack declared Jennifer Jones to be the official nominee for president of Rotary International for 2022-23.
The Nominating Committee for President of RI selected Jones, a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario, Canada in August. She will be formally elected at the 2021 RI Convention in Taipei, and will become president on 1 July 2022.
