We are enormously thankful to each one of donors, particularly our District for allocating part of our DDF for the humanitarian cause. With this donation of $5,000 we are almost at our goal, only $300 short. Would it be great if we meet our goals, so the children, women and men fighting daily for their survival get a helping hand from the People of Action, providing Service Above Self.
Rotary Foundation Trustee Dean Rohrs announced on 8 March that The Rotary Foundation's Disaster Response Fund has already allocated $400,000 in Disaster Response Grants to Rotary Clubs in Turkey and around Syria. New requests for grants are being evaluated and approved within 24 to 36 hours. As more funds are being received into the Disaster Response Fund, more grants will be available.

With the help of PDG John Mitchell, (RC Fort Lee) our fundraiser for the devastated people of Turkey/Syria has reached 50% of our goal. The sharing spirit of Rotary is coming through. the helpless men, women and children thank you. Our gratitude to each one of the 20 donors, so far.
